The Toyota Tundra comes equipped with a 3.5L V6 engine that offers up to 405 lb-ft of torque. When properly equipped with the available 3.5L Twin-Turbo V6 hybrid engine, the Tundra has a maximum of 583 lb-ft of torque. With that much strength at your disposal, you’ll want to warn your passengers to hang on to something when you hit the gas!

The 2022 Chevy Silverado is also well equipped as it comes standard with a 2.7L Turbo engine. However, this motor can only achieve up to 348 lb-ft of torque. Even at its most, the Silverado can achieve a maximum of 460 lb-ft of torque, far behind the max available with the Tundra.

For a comfortable ride, you’ll need a host of high-tech features at your disposal. Whether for entertainment, safety, or driver assistance, the technology of the 2022 Tundra and 2022 Silverado are designed to keep you comfortable on the road.

The Toyota Tundra comes standard with Toyota Safety Sense™ 2.5, which includes exciting features like:

While the Silverado includes some comparable features many of these don’t come standard in this truck. You’ll have to upgrade to get auto high beams and Road Sign Assist isn’t offered at all.

Inside the Cabin

Both of these trucks are available with a few different cabin options, which will impact the interior dimensions of your truck. Any configuration of the Tundra or Silverado will be comfortable and accommodating, but you may find one is better suited to your needs.

Whether you choose the Double Cab or CrewMax cab of the Tundra, you’ll have a spacious cabin that provides seating for up to five. That rear row can comfortably seat your friends and family or serve as extra cargo room is you need it. With 62.6 inches of hip room in the front and 60.5 inches in the back, you’ll easily be able to relax in this vehicle.

The Silverado, on the other hand, as some smaller configurations that may be less accommodating. The regular cab has seating for only three passengers. Plus, with just 61.18 inches of hip room in the front and 60.24 inches in the rear, you may feel slightly more cramped in this vehicle.
